What these technologies are

Cookies are small files a site can store on your device; local storage is a similar browser feature for keeping small amounts of data. Both let the site remember information between visits. We group everything we use into three categories.

Categories

  • Essential — required for the site to work and to remember your choices. These are always on and never used to track you.
  • Analytics — help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. Off by default; loaded only if you allow them.
  • Marketing — used to measure the reach of our material and show relevant content. Off by default; loaded only if you allow them.

What we currently store

We keep this site deliberately light. Today it stores only first-party, essential items in your browser — no third-party analytics or marketing trackers are loaded:

  • qv-theme — Essential. Remembers your light/dark preference. Local storage, first-party.
  • qv-lang — Essential. Remembers your language (EN/RU). Local storage, first-party.
  • qv-consent — Essential. Remembers your cookie choices, with the policy version and date. Local storage, first-party.

If we later introduce analytics or marketing technologies, they will load only after you allow the matching category, and we will list them here.

Managing your choices

You can change your decision at any time — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it:

  • Use the Cookie settings link in the site footer to reopen the preferences panel and turn categories on or off.
  • Or control cookies and site data through your browser settings. Blocking essential items may stop parts of the site from working.

When this policy changes in a way that affects your choices, we update the version and ask you to choose again.
